Independence Day 2017

The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with a great spirit of patriotism and a riot of colours. The Tri Colour Flag was given its due respect and hoisted by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Manoj K J cmf., Director, Claretian Publications, Bengaluru. The Guest also received the grand guard of honour from the marching platoons of the 4 houses. The patriotic songs filled in the air and a deep sense of Independence was felt realizing the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters. The highlight of the day was a historical fashion parade by the tiny tots and the 'Swag of the Legends' by the high school.

     An inspirational speech delivered by Rev. Fr. Manoj K J out lined the achievements of India and the role of Indians in global development.  The much awaited declaration of the total tally of the Claretine Challenge was done by the programme coordinator Mrs. Shirly Joseph. The Blue Surfers took away the coveted cup followed closely by the Yellow Dragons, Red Racers and Green Gladiators. The programme concluded with the rendition of the School Anthem.
