August 15, 1947, was a historic milestone in India's past. It ended nearly two centuries of British rule, granting the nation the right to self-govern and determine its destiny. Claretines celebrated the 77th Independence day gloriously at our school. The celebration started with the grand welcoming of the Chief Guest Dr. Madesh N, Principal, St. Claret Evening College. Principal Rev. Fr. Abraham Patteril, Sr. Jesmin and Ms. Shirly Joseph our Vice - Principals and other dignitaries were welcomed by 39 Kar NCC cadets with a disciplined guard of honor. The dignitaries hoisted the tricolor and received the salute from the marching platoons. Passionate Patriotic songs by the choir, a savvy march of the legends, Glimpses of Freedom Movement, and a spectacular dance by the silver steppers depicting the strength, peace, growth and unity in diversity brought a strong feelings of nationalism into the campus. The Claretine Challenge overall championship trophy was taken away by the victorious Red Racers.
